CosmosHub v28.2.0 Upgrade

This guide assumes that you use cosmovisor to manage upgrades. If you do not use cosmovisor, please adjust some commands accordingly.

The upgrade is scheduled for Block 33073000. It is estimated to take place 2 days ago. A countdown clock is here. The governance proposal is here.

Install New Binary

cd cosmos
git pull
git checkout v28.2.0
make install

Check Version

# should be v28.2.0
gaiad version

# Should be commit 00abf7a02bf3a009c1c65203ad80d7cf984c85c5
gaiad version --long | grep commit

Make Cosmovisor Directory and Copy Binary

mkdir -p $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.2.0/bin
cp $HOME/go/bin/gaiad $HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.2.0/bin

Check Version Again

# should be v28.2.0
$HOME/.gaia/cosmovisor/upgrades/v28.2.0/bin/gaiad version
